Graduation Adult Education

7 Adult ‘CEBA’ students, an adult education program that we host in Brazos Abiertos, received their Secondary School certificate. Which they celebrated with a ceremony, organised by themselves.

Sunday November 24th was a special day focused on community. A beautifull environment to spend time with each other and to strengthen each other. We were gratefull that we could baptize 2 women, who each one could share a powerfull testimony from how deep they came to get to place where they are now. Another victory for the Kingdom!

The yearly Brazos Abiertos event

The so called ´feria´ is held every year to raise funds for the next year school books of the children who study with us. The parents don´t have the means for it, but help out during this day, preparing food, managing games, etc. And besides a usefull event, it´s a lot of fun for the whole community! Inflabables, games for the whole family, wheel of fortune and much more. Also this yeas has been a huge success, thanks to all the volunteers who helped with the preparation and on the day itself!

Visit of the Ywam team Pereira, Colombia

Last week the team from Jucum Pereira, Colombia was visiting. Great to see how the team was serving in the classes, church, teenagers, youth, evangelism in the neighbourhood and practical work. Thankfully they were a big blessing and we for them.

When we went to visit a mother, we found her very burdened by the circumstances. We were able to listen to her and comfort her. We also explained how sin, distances us from God. But since he loves us, he made a perfect sacrifice by sending Jesus to die in our place, so that we are not only God's creation but children. And as children he wants to help us carry our burdens, we can approach him in prayer and listen to him for his word. She understood that she needed to accept the gift of salvation that God provided for her and we prayed for her. She also prayed for forgiveness for her sins and invited Jesus into her heart. It was very nice to hear her praying and we saw how she was very joyful after her prayers.

The day of the evangelization we went out with my partner Grace to the neighborhood of Nueva Victoria by Cieneguilla. Announcing the word of God, the gospel of salvation knocking on doors speaking to people who were on the street. And for me in particular it fills me with great satisfaction, preaching and spreading the word of God and evangelizing. I love it a lot and, well, as a result of that evangelization we win souls for Christ, that people gave themselves to God. And that day fills me with great joy and happiness. Because they are converting to Christ and as the word of God says, go and preach to all nations. And that's what we did that day with my partner Grace.
