Father’s Day

It was a wonderful time of games, music, and a sense of excitement as we watched our children express their love for their father. And all of us women work together, concerned for the same cause. Spending time and working with each other is an experience of living together and getting to know each other better in every aspect of our emotions and character. Above all, we give our best, regardless of fatigue. We are very grateful to God for each experience we have with each other and for being able to serve in whatever way we can, as long as God wants. Blessings.

DTS Norway

How grateful we are that we can receive so many teams from abroad to show the love of Jesus together. This time we had a DTS (Discipleship Training School) team from Norway visiting. Working together for 2 weeks to tell the good news everywhere through testimonies, drama, singing, practical work, sports and speaking. In the classrooms at the school, in different churches and even at a big evangelism event in the south of Lima. God is good and faithful.

Mother’s Day

This day is always celebrated in a big way, to put the mothers in the spotlight. The children of the school showed their love to their mothers by performing all kinds of things like singing, theater and dancing. With the church we had a great service where the mothers received a present and where the men prepared delicious food. Praise the Lord for these great moments.

Mini DTS Crusade

Our DTS students, accompanied by three staff members, headed to the most populated district of Lima, San Juan de Lurigancho, where the CELIM ministry is located. It has had a great impact in this district for decades, bringing transformation to the community.
Our team was able to put into practice much of what we learned during our theoretical phase of the DTS, evangelizing, teaching, and ministering to children and adolescents at the school.
We were also blessed to be able to do practical work to support the “Sleeping Beauty” project in the mountains of SJL. We were able to expand the structure of the church, building a new warehouse almost at the edge of the cliff, installing wooden planks to finish the interior walls of the church, and painting them. The most exciting thing of all was carrying all these materials to the top of the mountain.
We are so grateful for what God has done through us at CELIM.

Virtuous women

The gathering of virtuous women is a wonderful time. They can learn and experience more closely the love of Jesus in their hearts. At the same time, reflections, prayers, and biblical themes are shared to help them grow in faith, recognizing God’s presence and His purpose for their lives. We also offer workshops such as cooking, crocheting, and sewing, as well as choreography, singing, and theater groups. This way, women can learn and interact with each other.

Art

In our first weeks of art class, the students have begun to show great creativity. They are learning about shadow and light in drawing and letter design. They made a doll using plastic bottles, and the youngest students made a puppet using toilet paper rolls. In their creations, they can see the love of Jesus Christ.

School

The new school year has started and for some children it is difficult to go to school for the first time as a 3-year-old and to undergo this change. All preparations for the school are almost finished and a number of classes can already use their new classrooms, what a blessing. The first meeting with the parents was also good. We are grateful that we can offer the children Christian education.

Championship

A morning filled with joy. God allowed us to participate in the Ambassadors Cup interchurch championship. The 11 and 12-year-old teams from our Brazos Abiertos church were champions, and the 9 and 10-year-old teams were runners-up. The players received backpacks and school supplies for their participation in the championship. We are grateful to God for this victory.

DTS YWAM Lima

We had a Love Feast of worshipping the Lord and sharing testimonies of His goodness and the miracles He has done for us and we have been growing in unity as we live in close community and share our lives and stories with one another. We had a week of missions and we were enthralled by how God partners with us to being His Kingdom to earth.

The students have been learning lots of different ways to bring the gospel to others including dramas and dances! We had a special time of promise to the Lord and put our written promises in balloons that we decorated with our names and affirmations. The students are taking the initiative in decorating, cleaning, serving, and one student even decided to cut the watermelon as a heart so that it would be perfect for a Love Feast for his friends.

We had a time of recreating the last supper and studying Jesus and his love for the disciples. We had a week on identity and proclaiming truth in place of lies we have believed about ourselves. We studied the walls we build up in response to pain, hurts, false prophets, and how those walls we build to protect ourselves are not in line with how God has called us to live with dependence on Him.

We have been incredibly blessed with teachers from around the world who speak multiple languages and have been leading youth to love Jesus for years. Keep on praying for us.
