Men with a Purpose

We had our first meeting with the men, living around ‘Brazos Abiertos’. It was great! We’ll meet every 2 weeks @ Brazos Abiertos to play sports, games, talk about a theme or to heat the grill.

Praise to God! 4 Of our church members made the decision to be baptised. Standing in the water, each of them gave a powerful testimony. How God touched their lives and how they want to live their lives with Him.

Children’s Day

In August, Peruvians celebrate ‘the day of the Child’. In Brazos Abiertos we celebrated it as well, in a special family church service with lots of games, prices and of course, with candies. It was a great happening.

Acts of love

The children and families showed their love towards us by preparing delicious Peruvian food for the whole ministry of Brazos Abiertos, on Jordi’s birthday. We, as a team, felt so blessed. Not only because of the yummy food, but as well of this celebration in unity.

When we went to visit a mother, we found her very burdened by the circumstances. We were able to listen to her and comfort her. We also explained how sin, distances us from God. But since he loves us, he made a perfect sacrifice by sending Jesus to die in our place, so that we are not only God's creation but children. And as children he wants to help us carry our burdens, we can approach him in prayer and listen to him for his word. She understood that she needed to accept the gift of salvation that God provided for her and we prayed for her. She also prayed for forgiveness for her sins and invited Jesus into her heart. It was very nice to hear her praying and we saw how she was very joyful after her prayers.

The day of the evangelization we went out with my partner Grace to the neighborhood of Nueva Victoria by Cieneguilla. Announcing the word of God, the gospel of salvation knocking on doors speaking to people who were on the street. And for me in particular it fills me with great satisfaction, preaching and spreading the word of God and evangelizing. I love it a lot and, well, as a result of that evangelization we win souls for Christ, that people gave themselves to God. And that day fills me with great joy and happiness. Because they are converting to Christ and as the word of God says, go and preach to all nations. And that's what we did that day with my partner Grace.
