Missionary

My name is Jorge Zarate, I am 26 years old and I was born and raised in Lima, Peru, as many would say, “a local”.
I grew up in a Christian home and have been on the mission field since I was 11 years old with my parents and six siblings in northern Peru and the country of Ecuador.
Since 2018 I am part of the staff of Brazos Abiertos, where I am a music teacher at the school and director of the Ministry of Worship and Arts.
I was aware of my call to ministry from the age of 17 and have walked this path ever since. My calling is related to the worship and expression of Christ through music and different artistic forms. We believe that God is using music and art as agents of transformation in and from our community.
As of 2021 I have been doing missions with YWAM which has allowed me to take the gospel of salvation to Mexico, Lebanon and different towns in Peru…
