Brazos Abiertos School celebrated Peru’s Independence Day. Against the backdrop of the country’s rich history and culture, the children organized various math activities. They took imaginary trips around the country, counting on boards, calculated discounts for tourists who wanted to try Peruvian cuisine, and performed statistical calculations while climbing the steps of the Machu Picchu citadel. As a grand finale, they presented dances from the country’s three natural regions: the coast, the Andean highlands, and the Amazon rainforest, filling the occasion with joy.
We pray to God for our nation, asking Him that from the classrooms of Brazos Abiertos School we may write a new chapter in Peru’s history.
