Brazos Abiertos

Thanks be to God, the teenagers and young adults of Brazos Abiertos Church participated in the BCM camp this year, 2026. It was a great blessing; the campers experienced special moments with God’s presence and His word. There were 28 participants, and God was able to provide for all their needs until there was more than enough, and no one was left out. We continue to pray that God’s work will continue.

The 2026 Hi 5 Power Vacation Bible School was an extraordinary week where each child experienced a transformative encounter with God. During these days, they enjoyed loving times of ministry, where their hearts were touched and spiritually strengthened. Through creative activities, Bible teachings, and moments of worship, the children learned to love God with all five senses: seeing His work, hearing His voice, declaring His truth, serving with their hands, and walking in obedience. Joy filled each day with energetic dances, recreational games, and activities designed to strengthen faith and friendship. Every smile reflected the impact of purposeful teaching. It was a week of spiritual growth, fellowship, and wholesome fun. The children not only played but also understood that they can live out their faith practically every day. Hi 5 Power left lasting impressions on every heart. Without a doubt, it was an unforgettable experience that shaped this generation to love and serve God with their whole being.

We are incredibly grateful for the team from Kansas City who came to serve at YWAM Lima, Brazos Abiertos for a week. It was wonderful to see how enthusiastic the team was to serve and bless us. We made many home visits and prayed for people; they were touched by the love of Jesus. We also did practical work, taught English, practiced breathing techniques, spoke at church, organized children’s programs, and much more. We are grateful that God brings the teams to help in missionary work, and the teams themselves are blessed by what they experience in the slum. We honor and praise God for the wonderful baptism service we had in Cieneguilla. After a time of worship and hearing God’s word, 12 people were baptized—what a celebration! God is faithful, and the church is growing. Afterwards, we enjoyed the beautiful weather, the pool, delicious food, and being together. The end of the school year was a great success with performances by all classes. It was wonderful to see how the children prepared to show their parents their best, all while celebrating Christmas and the birth of Jesus. We look back on the past school year with gratitude, and to God be all the glory. Afterwards, there was delicious hot chocolate and Christmas bread, and a gift for each child.

Thanks to the Lord for allowing us to witness the culmination of this group of students’ primary education. It was an unforgettable day for everyone: parents, students, and teachers. We rejoiced to see our students happy, and the ceremony was the result of teamwork: parents, teachers, and students—together we made this great event a reality. We give glory to God and honor His Name for allowing us to be instruments in the lives of our students.
We are confident that every word sown in their minds and hearts will bear fruit of justice and truth in this new stage of secondary education.
The students will always remember the love, affection, and time we gave them during all these years at Brazos Abiertos.

After receiving donations of medical equipment, we’ve now held two medical campaigns for the people of the slum. It’s a wonderful way for the Christian doctors to use their free time to serve the people with their gifts and talents. We’ve also been able to share the gospel and invite people to church activities. God is faithful and good.

Today we joyfully celebrated the closing of Teens Zone 2025, a time when we learned the commitment to love God with all our hearts and challenged ourselves to grow even more in the coming year of 2026.

We had a lovely gift exchange, shared pizzas, laughter, and a blessed atmosphere. It was a special time to get to know each other better, strengthen our unity, and remember that God continues to write something beautiful in each of us.

SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY 2025
The teachers and students of the Early Childhood and Primary levels of the school organized this event in which they demonstrated the fruits of their research and study, as well as their preparation in scientific topics.

From the description of native Peruvian plants, their medicinal properties, and their importance in sustenance, to the observation of the universe, scientific experiments, and more, it was a joyful and rewarding occasion for the entire school community.
In addition, the children researched the lives of great Christian scientists such as George W. Carver and Isaac Newton, integrating all their research with biblical verses that acknowledge Christ’s lordship over Creation. May God continue to nourish the hearts and minds of the entire Brazos Abiertos family.
